Daphniphyllum macropodum

Zeldzame wintergroene struik uit de Himalaya, blauwe bes. Lijkt wel een beetje op een grootbladige rhododendron, maar als de Daphniphyllum bloeit is het verschil overduidelijk. De jonge scheuten zijn bronskleurig en decoratief. De trossen blauwe bessen blijven lang aan de plant zitten.. De hoogte na 10 jaar is 200 cm. De bloemkleur is wit met een vleugje rose. Deze plant is goed winterhard. De bloeiperiode is juni - juli.
